SNOWproductions.ch was determined to push back against the pandemic’s limitations with creativity, so we dreamt up a series of pop-ups for “zur Wand” at the invitation of its initiators, Swiss cultural taste makers wiewaersmalmit.ch. The goal: to use digital tools to manipulate analogue experiences of voyeurism, coincidence and fragmented narratives. The challenge: to explode the potential of time, space, lighting and proximity in a non-theatrical space. Read More Here.

I was part of a 4-person team of Director/Choreographers that created a unique interdisciplinary Production in response to the first Covid Lockdown in 2020. The first is a self-portrait solo for the choreographer without her dancers. The second is a dance film shot on the Rhein in Basel, Switzerland and screened to the live aria by Korngold at the performance. The third was performed by opera singers and shot by Spot & Pixel at a harbor in Lübeck, Germany.
Commissioned by the Philharmonie Luxembourg for an audience of children aged 0 – 3 and their grown-ups.
Classical ballet dancers joined professional and lay singers, children, a diverse cast of over 100 blues and rock singers, dancers, orchestra and a brass band in our interpretation of Leonard Bernstein’s massive work.
JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR
The choreography was inspired by both club culture and traditional Jewish and tribal dances and featured five contemporary dancers, opera chorus, musical soloists and a group of young singers from Basel. Nominations for Best Choreography, Directing and Best Production by Musicals Magazine.
KISS ME, KATE
The Staatstheater Kassel dance ensemble were featured throughout the evening, particularly so in the number Too Darned Hot which critics called the highlight of the evening.
THE FAIRY QUEEN
This was my first production with Dr. Katharina Kost-Tolmein, designated Executive Director of Theater Münster, Germany. Our team re-imagined Purcell’s semi-opera with dancers, actors, chorus, soloists and children and played sold-out for 3 years.
Together with the actors we created an explicit, violent and provokative physical language for the witches in Macbeth.
2009 – 2021
„A production of European ranking,“ Oper Heute called this production of L’ORFEO at the Royal Danish Opera in 2020. In my choreography for opera I strive to express the essence of the music and to go beyond the decorative or entertaining. Close collaboration with directors, designers, conductors and musicians is essential to this process. See all collaborators here.
